Terms & Conditions
PilateScene Limited — Reformer Studio
By purchasing a subscription, class pack, or membership with PilateScene Limited, you agree to the following terms and conditions.
As a small, independently run studio, PilateScene Limited relies on these terms being followed consistently in order to keep classes running fairly and sustainably for everyone. We ask for your understanding that they will be enforced as stated.
1. Membership & Purchases
1.1 Subscriptions, packs, and memberships are personal to the purchaser and are non-transferable unless otherwise agreed in writing.
1.2 Current pricing, pack sizes, and class inclusions are available on the studio website or booking platform at the time of purchase and form part of the purchase agreement.
1.3 Class packs and credits are valid for the period stated at the time of purchase (e.g. a 5-class pack must be used within 5 weeks), after which unused credits expire.
1.4 PilateScene Limited reserves the right to change or cancel a class, including its description, teacher, or content, due to circumstances beyond its control. Best effort will be made to inform members of such changes, though this is not guaranteed.
1.5 If PilateScene Limited cancels a class or workshop, drop-in attendees will receive a full refund, and pass or membership holders will not have the class deducted from their balance.
2. Payment
2.1 Recurring subscriptions will be billed automatically on the agreed schedule until cancelled in accordance with these terms.
2.2 Failed payments may result in classes being paused until payment is successfully processed.
3. Introductory Offers, Passes & Gift Certificates
3.1 Introductory offers are available for one-time use only. Once used, a membership or class pack can be purchased to continue attending.
3.2 Setting up separate accounts to reuse an introductory offer is not permitted.
3.3 Class passes cannot be refunded, returned, or exchanged, and are not transferable between persons.
3.4 Gift certificates cannot be returned or exchanged for cash, and may be used for any class. Gift certificates are transferable between persons.
3.5 Where a refund is due — as a result of timely cancellation or a cancellation by PilateScene Limited — it will be processed within 48 hours.
4. Cancellations & No-Shows
4.1 Class cancellations must be made at least 15 hours before the scheduled class time.
4.2 Cancellations made within 15 hours of the class will forfeit the class credit or incur the full class fee.
4.3 No-shows are treated the same as a late cancellation and will forfeit the class credit or incur the full class fee.
4.4 Late arrivals may not be able to join a class in progress, for safety reasons, and will be treated as a no-show.
4.5 Private consultations must be cancelled at least 24 hours in advance, or the payment is forfeit.
5. Pausing Your Membership
5.1 Holiday pause — Clients may pause their account, subscription, and classes for up to 4 weeks per year for holidays.
5.2 Medical pause — Where a client requires surgery or is managing a serious medical matter, their account, subscription, and classes will be paused for the relevant period, at management's discretion.
6. Cancelling Your Subscription
6.1 Recurring subscriptions may be cancelled in accordance with the notice period specified at the time of purchase.
6.2 Where a membership contract applies, the terms of that signed contract take precedence over the standard cancellation notice period.
7. Health & Liability
7.1 Physical exercise carries inherent risks, including but not limited to muscle strain, sprain, or other injury.
7.2 You take part at your own risk and are responsible for informing your instructor of any pre-existing injury, condition, or limitation that may affect your participation.
7.3 You confirm you have disclosed any relevant medical conditions and have consulted a medical professional if you had any concerns about your fitness to participate.
7.4 You consent to receiving hands-on adjustments and corrections from instructors as part of the class.
7.5 PilateScene Limited, its owners, instructors, and staff are released from liability for injury, loss, or damage arising from participation in these classes, except where caused by proven negligence.
8. Studio Conduct
8.1 Clients are expected to treat instructors, staff, and other clients with respect.
8.2 PilateScene Limited reserves the right to refuse entry or suspend membership for conduct that disrupts classes or affects the safety or experience of others.
9. Changes to These Terms
9.1 PilateScene Limited may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of your membership after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
10. Contact
10.1 For any matter not covered by these terms, please contact the studio directly.
