About the Irish Pilates Convention

The Irish Pilates Convention is Ireland’s only large-scale event dedicated exclusively to Pilates, created to celebrate movement, education and community at the highest level.

Founded by Pilates educator Suzie Dodd, the convention responds to the growing demand for Pilates across Ireland — from enthusiastic participants to professional teachers seeking world-class education without travelling abroad.

Now in its second year, the Irish Pilates Convention offers a distinctive two-day format:

A mat-based day open to Pilates enthusiasts
A teachers-only apparatus education day

The long-term vision is to establish the Irish Pilates Convention as a flagship annual event, positioning Ireland firmly on the international Pilates calendar.

Saturday 21 March – Pilates Enthusiasts Day (Open to All)

Saturday is designed for anyone who loves Pilates.

This mat-based day, sponsored by Merrithew®, the world leader in mindful movement and Pilates education, is open to Pilates enthusiasts of all levels. No apparatus is required, making the day accessible, inclusive and energising.

Participants will be led by internationally recognised Pilates teachers Brooke Siler and Benjamin Degenhardt, both of whom teach and present worldwide.

Sunday 22 March – Teachers Day (Teachers Only)

Sunday is dedicated exclusively to Pilates teachers, offering an advanced professional education experience in a studio setting.

Brooke Siler

Brooke Siler is an internationally recognised Pilates teacher, author and educator who teaches and presents worldwide.

She is the author of the bestselling book The Pilates Body, widely credited with bringing Pilates into the mainstream, and is also the creator of the Tensatoner®.

Benjamin Degenhardt

Benjamin Degenhardt is the founder of 360° Pilates and a highly respected international Pilates teacher and teacher educator.

He teaches globally and is known for bridging classical Pilates principles with contemporary movement science.

About the Founder – Suzie Dodd

Suzie Dodd is the founder of PilatesScene and the Suzie Dodd Pilates Academy, and one of Ireland’s most respected Pilates educators.

Deeply passionate about Pilates and lifelong movement, Suzie created the Irish Pilates Convention to raise standards of Pilates education in Ireland, make world-class teaching accessible locally, and unite the Irish Pilates community through a high-quality annual event.

Second Irish Pilates Convention Returns with International Teachers in Limerick and Galway

The Second Irish Pilates Convention will take place on Saturday 21 and Sunday 22 March 2026, bringing world-class Pilates education to Ireland with a unique two-day format designed for both Pilates enthusiasts and professional teachers.

Founded by Pilates educator Suzie Dodd, the Irish Pilates Convention was created to celebrate the growing popularity of Pilates in Ireland while providing access to international teaching expertise at home.

Saturday 21 March – Pilates Enthusiasts Day (Open to All)

The convention opens on Saturday at the Radisson Blu Hotel & Spa, Limerick, with a full mat-based day designed for Pilates enthusiasts of all levels.

Sponsored by Merrithew®, the world leader in mindful movement and Pilates education, the day will be led by internationally recognised teachers Brooke Siler and Benjamin Degenhardt, both of whom teach and present worldwide.

Participants can expect intelligent programming, creative sequencing and inspiring teaching, all delivered without the need for apparatus, making the day accessible and inclusive.

Sunday is dedicated exclusively to Pilates teachers, with a Teachers Day held at PilatesScene Studios, Galway.

This apparatus-based education day focuses on:

Designed for qualified and trainee teachers, the day offers advanced exploration of programming, cueing, problem-solving and movement analysis in a focused studio environment.

International Guest Teachers

Brooke Siler is an internationally recognised Pilates teacher, author and educator. She is the author of the bestselling book The Pilates Body, widely credited with bringing Pilates into the mainstream, and teaches globally.

Benjamin Degenhardt, founder of 360° Pilates, is a highly respected international teacher and teacher educator known for bridging classical Pilates principles with contemporary movement science.
