Want to work with Pre and Post Natal Clients - join my training in January 2/3/4th 2026.
This course will equip you to teach pre natal clients preparing for birth, and to rehab your clients after birth.
The course is held at The Pilatescene Briarhill, Unit 17 Briarhill Shopping Centre H91PF88
The course is an intensive immersion into the anatomy of pregnancy, birth and post natal rehabilitation using the Pilates Method and myofascial release. It is a mat only course. There will be a reformer add on course if there is demand.
The goal of this course is to support your pregnant clients from the start of their pregnancy to full post natal rehabilitation. There is nothing more rewarding for me as a teacher than when I get a Whatsapp and the baby is born! The mother is empowered by having a natural birth and she is already starting thinking about her rehab. This course and my own 3 pregnancies have taught me so much about women’s health and our bodies and the effect of birth on our bones, fascia, chemistry not to mention the emotional and wonderful rollercoaster called birth and parenting.
The body has to adapt and change so much in pregnancy and birth. The effect of hormones and extra weight affects bones, muscles, ligaments not to mention energy levels and the metal emotional journey of becoming a mum. The posture of pregnancy has to be supported and then repatterned after birth. All to be in done in a supportive way. Birth is always momentous and this course will give your client tools to build stamina and to learn to release and open. We will use swiss balls and other small equipment which support clients in a brilliant way.
PREREQUISITES FOR THE COURSE
You must have a Pilates Mat Course completed to do this course. I would love Doulas and Midwives but to certify you need a Pilates course or it’s too big a learning curve.
In order to certify you will have to upload me 4 videos of you teaching some exercises (you don’t need a pregnant model). Some videos of you practicing exercises. You will also have to complete a quiz online. This means we can dive into the exercises and adjustments on the weekend.
Sometimes I am asked can I do this course if I am pregnant - absolutely I have had many pilates teachers do this course pregnant - and it has completely changed their approach to their birth.
